Positive is a directional question. I agree it was positive! Base hits are positive, they just don't by themselves put runs on the board. Problem is there was no home run to be had here--it's a speech. A big speech with a significant audience and media penetration, but a speech nonetheless. It will quiet the speculation/agitation around replacement, which is all it ever could do. Beyond that he has to keep going out and hitting it where it's pitched ever day.
