The Reef has been quiet of late, but in the absence of written updates I thought it might be good to memorialize how I’m thinking about the election a few hours out from the opening of the polls. Thus was born The Reefcast, a bare bones audio experience that stretches the term “podcast” beyond all recognition. Naturally I lost a solid half of my first take, so you’ll note an odd shift around the 22nd minute. I hope it helps you think through the election, or at least passes the time until polls close.
The only other food for thought I’d leave you with is that both sides genuinely have reason to feel very good about where things stand. We just won’t know whose theory of the case is right until the dust settles.
In the meantime, check out a few recent podcasts I’ve done.
First, a conversation about crypto and the election with Paradigm’s Justin Slaughter.
And most recently, the Politicology Weekly Roundup with my former NRSC colleague Ron Steslow and Axios’ Alex Thompson.
And most importantly, make sure to sign up for the 2024 Bracewell PRG Post-Election Webinar, where in addition to hearing me and my colleagues break down the election results and their policy implications, you’ll get to hear from leading journalists, cabinet short-listers, and sitting members of Congress alike.
Enjoy, and thanks for listening.
